Måle ytelse for biometri

Verdens første internasjonale konferanse på Biometric Performance Conference ble organisert avNIST ITL’ Information Access Division (IAD) og Prof. Christoph Busch for erfaringsutveksling mellom biometri forskere, utviklere, brukere, eksperter på testing og teknologitilbydere til diskusjoner om ytelse og praktisk bruk av biometri idag. Gjennom 48 presentasjoner ig 11 postere, tok talerne tak i tema som reliability, security, scalability, computational expense, cost, and the measurement, definition, and standardization thereof. I tre satelitt workshops  ble følgende tema presentert; NIST’s fingerprint image quality assessment algorithm, NFIQ, fingerprint feature detection and standardization, and template protection.
